The Afrolutionist in collaboration with People of Botswana Founder, Maitham Basha Agha are pleased to present Cultures of Gaborone. A pictorial project, aimed at featuring different cultures found in Gaborone, Botswana.
In light of a statement made by UN cultural Rights expert Farida Shaheed, we and Maitham saw a need to create dialogue on the diverse cultures found in the country’s metropolis, more so at a time where the nation is facing hald a century of independence and a growing hunger of cultural identity within young people.
Through this featured pictorial, we aim to bring awareness at the melting pot of culture in Gaborone, featuring city dwellers from all walks of life.
If you know of anyone in Gaborone who holistically identifies with their tribe and dresses as such in their everyday life, contact us and Maitham on our respective social accounts. For more information, do not hesitate to speak to us directly on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
Yours in Cultural Preservation,
